When the rainy season comes, humid and sultry weather recurs. The LED display lamp beads belong to MSD components (humidity sensitive devices), wet and rainy weather is a big challenge to the LED display.
The rainy season is coming. How can outdoor LED displays be moisture-proof and waterproof?
For rainy and humid weather, SRYLED’s outdoor fixed screen products have made a comprehensive waterproof design from the internal and external structures. We adopt a full waterproof design at the front and rear side, with a protection level of IP65/IP54. The independent waterproof design of the module can effectively prevent the infiltration of water vapor.
The environment of outdoor LED display screens is more complicated than that of indoors. We must not only consider the problem of humidity, but also do a good job in rainy weather maintenance such as waterproofing, especially in some rainy seasons and regions. Some countries in South America have mostly sultry sauna climates, with high temperature and heavy humidity, and the devices are easy to swell and deform. In Southeast Asia, the coastal areas have a salty fog climate, severe weather such as typhoons, heavy fog, and high temperature and humidity. Chinese East is the rainy season in May, with high temperature, high humidity, low wind speed, and severe lack of light, and the devices are prone to mold.
What should we do if water enters in LED screen?
Though our LED display is designed with waterproof and moisture-proof, water still may enter in LED cabinet in warehouse if meet flood. In case of water enter in LED screen, we can deal with it as follows way.
1. Use a fan or other tools at the fastest speed to completely dry the flooded LED display screen.
2. The LED display screen should be powered and aged after being completely dried. The specific steps are as follows:
A. Adjust the brightness (full white) to 10%, and aging for 8-12 hours after power on.
B. Adjust the brightness (full white) to 30%, and aging for 12 hours after power on.
C. Adjust the brightness (full white) to 60%, and aging for 12-24 hours after power on.
D. Adjust the brightness (full white) to 80%, and aging for 12-24 hours after power on.
E. Adjust the brightness (full white) to 100%, and aging for 8-12 hours after power on.
After completing the above steps, the LED display screen will basically return to normal. However, the following points should be paid attention to in the processing process.
1. Do not put the LED display screen that has been flooded into flight case, which will easily make the LED bored.
2. When water enters the warehouse, flight cases may enter water. All flight cases should be exposed to the sun to prevent moisture from volatilizing into the LED display when packing.
3. Failure to handle all flooded LED displays in time may affect the stability of the screen to a greater or lesser extent. During emergency treatment, the screen may die continuously after LED screen in powered.
4. If LED display screens are packed in flight cases with water. After 72 hours, these LED screen are equal broken LED screen, please handle them in caution.
In addition, whether it is an indoor LED screen or an outdoor LED screen, the most effective way to avoid moisture damage to the function of LED display is to use it frequently. The display itself in the working state will generate some heat, which can evaporate some water vapor, which greatly reduces the possibility of a short circuit caused by moisture. Therefore, the display screen that is frequently used has much less impact on the humidity than the display screen that is not commonly used. We recommends that the LED screen display should be used at least once a week in the rainy and humid season, and LED screen should be turned on at least once a month and lit for more than 2 hours. In high temperature and high humidity areas, LED display needs to be turned on frequently to dehumidify.
Good product use effect and lifespan cannot be separated from careful maintenance.
